Why Smart Luxury Travelers Always Use Hyatt Prive What Exactly Is Hyatt Prive and How Does It Work? Hyatt Prive is a curated collection of upscale and luxury hotels within the broader Hyatt portfolio, spanning independent boutique properties, Park Hyatt locations, Andaz hotels, and other high-end brands scattered across major cities and resort destinations. The distinguishing feature is not the hotel itself but the booking channel. These properties are only accessible with their full amenity package through accredited travel advisors who hold Hyatt Prive certification, a status Hyatt grants to a limited network of agencies after training and volume requirements are met. A guest cannot simply search a generic travel site and expect the same treatment; the benefits are tied to the reservation being made by a qualified agent under the Prive program. Is Hyatt Prive Better Than Chasing Elite Status? Frequent travelers often assume that the only path to consistent upgrades and free breakfast at Hyatt properties is climbing the World of Hyatt loyalty ladder toward Globalist status, which typically requires roughly sixty qualifying nights in a calendar year. That threshold is unrealistic for most vacationers and even many business travelers who don't concentrate their stays entirely within one hotel brand. Exclusive Hyatt Prive benefits offer a meaningful alternative precisely because they require no accumulated nights, no annual spend threshold, and no loyalty tier at all, just a booking made through the correct channel. Yes, in most cases the two stack, so a Globalist member booking through a Prive agent can still receive loyalty-based perks alongside the Prive benefits, though upgrade categories may overlap rather than double. If no upgraded inventory exists, you'll still receive the other included benefits such as breakfast and the property credit, but you'll stay in your originally booked room category.
