The heart of the internet

Korea’s most popular alcoholic drink, soju 소주 is widely available in every bar, convenience store and supermarket. And soju is surprisingly cheap making it one of the least expensive drinks in Korea (often cheaper than mineral water and soft drinks) – another reason to love Seoul at night. I’ll start with my personal favorites, Thursday’s or Corner Pu

It starts at Gwanghwamun Plaza and passes by top sights like Gyeongbokgung Palace, the Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain, Mapo Bridge, Seongsu Bridge, and more. There’s also a 30 minute stop at the N Seoul Tower included. This is a great place to feel the vibrancy of Seoul at night, with locals and tourists converging on the area for picnics and the Hangang Moonlight Night Market. 632-metre tall Gwanaksan sits on the southern boundary of Seoul. It has a few gorgeous temples and marvellous views of the cityscape belo

Wolfhound is a short walk from Haeundae Beach and is a great Irish pub that serves burgers and pints. It’s a popular after-work bar with expats and locals and on the weekends, it offers a lively party scene with a lineup of local DJs and dancing. Billie Jean is a laidback bar off the party path, located at the foot of Dalmaji Hill. It’s great for early evening drinks, karaoke nights and late-night dancing, ranging from funk to hip-hop. Busan is South Korea’s largest port and as a result fresh seafood is abundant and headlines many of the city’s restaurant and street food menus.

You typically pay for them by the hour, starting by paying for one hour. If you wish to extend, you can pay for the additional time. If there is no queue to the karaoke rooms, most establishments keep giving free extra time to sing, sometimes even for hours. If you are traveling and are only going to have one Korean karake experience, go here. This is a favorite among locals and tourists.
