Video to GIF

Turn a short video segment into an animated GIF.

Your files and text stay in your browser. Processors may download on first use.

How to use Video to GIF

Choose up to ten seconds. GIF has no audio and can be larger than the source video; keep the clip short.

Work with a short clip: up to 100 MB and 120 seconds. Video editing loads a roughly 31 MB processor on first use. Large files can take several minutes on a phone. Keep this tab open until the download is ready.

A practical example

Select a short moment for a looping reaction or product demonstration. Start with one to three seconds: a shorter animation is easier to share and usually creates a smaller GIF.

Why is a GIF larger than the original video?

GIF compression is often less efficient than modern video. This tool limits clips to ten seconds and exports at 480 pixels wide and 12 frames per second. GIFs have no audio; use MP4 when sound or smaller size matters.
