What cookies and browser storage do

Cookies are small records stored by your browser and sent with relevant requests. Similar storage can remember preferences or support a tool. r37dy uses browser storage for functions such as sessions, login, language, theme and feature preferences. Blocking all cookies can prevent sign-in or other features from working.

Storage you may encounter

  • Session and authentication cookies: maintain a session, help protect requests and, when selected, remember a login.
  • Preference cookies: remember language, display and other choices. The cc_cookie record, when present, contains saved cookie-category preferences.
  • Page-counting cookies: cookies such as page_view_* can prevent repeated counting of a content-page visit for approximately one day.
  • Google Analytics: cookies such as _ga and _ga_* can distinguish browsers and measure visits and interactions. Their presence and duration depend on Google’s configuration and your browser settings.
  • Member integrations: embedded media, pixels and external services on a member’s page may use their own storage and notices.

These are categories and examples, not a claim that every cookie appears on every page. You can inspect the cookies currently stored for a site in your browser’s privacy or developer settings.

Current analytics behaviour

Our Google Analytics tag is G-HYC15JSCLL. The current site loads it by default without an automatic consent popup. It honours a previously saved analytics rejection through the integration’s consent signals, and advertising personalisation and advertising-data consent are disabled by default. A rejected analytics-storage setting may still permit limited cookieless signals to Google; it is not a promise that no network request will occur.

We use analytics to understand visits and feature use. Browser protections, blockers, network failures and automated traffic affect what is measured. Analytics totals are not guaranteed to match internal page counters.

This notice explains the implementation. It is not a request for consent, and using r37dy or accepting its Terms does not substitute for any consent legally required for optional storage.

Your controls

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, restrict third-party storage, or use a tracking blocker. Deleting cookies can also erase saved choices, so reapply your preferences afterwards. Some protections affect functionality.

Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported desktop browsers. Its scope and browser support are described by Google. You can also read how Google uses information from sites and apps.
